The secret to losing weight is not to eat less, but simply to eat more sensible meals. The best way to do this is by eating a healthy breakfast. Follow up with fiber, proteins, fruit, and enough water throughout the day.

You'll actually feel fuller for longer periods of time and will not have the urge to snack so often. With increased energy, you'll be more active as a result, and you'll be amazed to find that you're looking fit and feeling healthy in no time.

No hunger pangs. More energy. Boost metabolism.

Amanda, that is great advice. Thank you!

One of the trainers I used to work out with shared the following plan with me:

Meal 1 - 6am - protein shake and 2 flax seed capsules
Meal 2 - 8:30am/9am - 1/2 c of oatmeal, 4 oz of protein, fruit (i.e. 1/2 of a banana)
Meal 3 - 11:30am/Noon - 1/2 c brown rice or 1/2 of a sweet potato, 4 oz of protein, 1/2 c. veggies
Meal 4 - 2:30pm/3pm - 1/2 of a sweet potato, can of tuna, fruit
Meal 5 - 5:30pm/6pm - 4 oz of protein, 2 flax seed capsules, 1 cup of veggies
Meal 6 - 8pm - protein shake

While I understand that our bodies are like furnances and need to be timely fueled to work properly, I have come to feel like a hostage to my food. How do you get around feeling like your food dictates your schedule?

Thanks for this reminder Amanda! AS you know, I do eat pretty much all day long.. It is what my body is used to and really how it functions best. Just about every two hours, I have something-- a fruit, granola, juice, peanuts. I eat to fuel my body. I think at one point this may have been difficult, growing up in a breakfast at 8am, lunch at 12pm, dinner at 5pm routine, but I remember never really eating at those meals, but instead sitting there with a cold plate of food for hours being forced to eat it..... goes to show you that my body knew ME before I even understood IT!
