These come from two very happily married couples, both in their second marriage:
Couple 1: Set up ground rules for disagreements so they don't turn into fights that are more important to each person than being right.
Couple 2: Marry someone whose ex was so horrendously awful that the worse thing you could ever do, doesn't even make it onto the radar.

An ounce of anticipation and prevention is worth a crap load of lawyers' fees and alimony.

the second one is really funny, and probably a very good, albeit, impractical way to chose a mate
