TEMPLE SPA IN IRELAND IS HEAVENLY!

One of the great privileges of being a speaker is the opportunity to travel to wonderful locations. I had the great privilege of staying for a few days at Temple Spa in Westmeath, Ireland where I was an enrichment lecturer.. If you are visiting Ireland and you seek rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation, this is a must stop. Declan and Bernadette Fagan have created a gem of a property in Horsleap Moate which is only about one hour from Dublin. Every room is beautifully appointed, the beds are comfy and the bathrooms large, modern, and elegant. The views are of the pastures, which is soothing. The all window spa includes a bubbling jacuzzi and steam room with wonderfully comfortable lounge chairs overlooking the bucolic countryside. The treatments in the spa are some of the best you'll ever experience including stone massage and facials, (I didn't care for the Dolphin float which is a treatment in salty tepid water in a closed casket type contraption with piped in music. I was cold and couldn't breathe.) Other than that, everything was truly sublime. My Irish pen pal who joined me on this excursion said her manicure and pedicure were truly the best. Declan leads fabulous yoga classes, there are evening enrichment lectures, and the food in the dining room is healthy, delicious, and beautifully presented. You can also order wine. Everyone is friendly, professional, and welcoming. This was a memorable experience. We truly did not want to leave. I have been to numerous spas around the world and feel this place is truly special. I can't wait to return and I highly recommend Temple Spa for everyone, especially women.

Weather is normally misty, cold, damp, and grey in Ireland so bring a coat for the outdoor hikes. Of course in the spa you wear your bathrobe everywhere.
