My story is current, like today. I am a novice at product importing. I have a partner that is currently responsible for the logisitcs consisiting of wire transfering money to the manufacturer, to shipping the product to customs clearance. I know very litte about importing and some of the shipping prices on containers seems high. Any feedback would be a great help.

This experience has taught me I need more experience! Practice will make perfect.

There's a way you can test out product ideas very inexpensively with google ads. The process is outlined in an excellent book called "The Four Hour Work Week" by Tim Ferriss.

Thanks for your feedback Rich... I'm at a point where it's difficult to make specific goals with a product that has not been really been tested, but I do know what you mean from your comments. I wear a few hats in the import process mainly making contacts and finding the "right" products. It's a new business so I'm taking a conservative risk to test the waters and see how consumers respond to my products. After I acquire products and put them to the test in the market place I will have a better idea how to proceed. This experience I feel will provide me with some points you made with regard to gaining knowledge and setting up specific goals which I wil be able to visualize.

Hey Mark, this sounds exciting. We at PeopleJam believe that the best chance of achieving a goal is to make it specific, to the point you can actually visualize it. What is the specific outcome you want? What knowledge do you need? And what will it provide you? Sometimes there are ways to get to the purpose without the original goal you had in mind.
