Saving...
Recommend this? YES NO

My Mom likes to say that it all adds up. She is right. I've been putting my spare change into a cup in my entry way when ever I'm there taking things out of my pockets. Very soon the cup will fill up and I take it to a change sorting machine that seem to be in drug stores and supermarkets where I live. It comes out to be $25 - $35 that I like to then use towards books since I always have more books that I would like to buy.

It's a fun game and a great way for me to have "book money"!

If someone asked you "do you save money?" what would you say? The first step in saving is to start saving...so just start. You want to be able to say YES! Frankly, in the beginning the act of saving is much more important than the amount.

Hi Susan,

Great tip! I love how you're paying yourself in this way and giving yourself a gift. Your post made me smile; there are always more books that I want to buy too, and you've created a fun way to get them.
