As I get older, negative people drain the life out of me. One way to tell if you're a negative or a positive person is to answer this question--
If I were to ask the people who interact with you at work and in your personal life, "How often do you focus on problems or focus on solutions?" what would they say?
If you focus on problems, you're negative;
If you focus on solutions, you're positive.
Don't know the answer? Ask them.
I know so many negative people and very few positive. I'm pretty sure the majority of them would say problems. With the economy the way it is, a lot of people are going to be focusing on the negative things. I try to be a positive person, but even this is hard for me at times. This is a good point, though. People should try harder to think about the solution instead of the problem. I try to live by the thought that NOTHING in life is serious enough to be unhappy or mad about.
