I was walking up the street yesterday and passed a neighbor. Our eyes met for a moment, we exchanged our greetings, I smiled as I went by, Comet setting the pace. It felt too short.
The next person I came in contact with was a maid going to work. She was coming down the street towards me. It was a beautiful morning, the pear trees in bloom. As we connected we both smiled, said hello, then 'good morning' with the full gratitude of it in our voices. Her face lit up as she smiled this huge smile at me. It seemed as if everything froze, the white petals falling around us, Comet on her mission, the green green grass and blue sky. It was a perfect moment of just being alive and being at one. It stayed with me all day. So simple and yet so big.

Wow, just think if everyone tried to use the "power" of words and the "power" of smiles in their everyday life and work! Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah! :)
