When I started my web development company I did not have a lot of money to hire the best in the industry. However, I’ve always been a good judge of character. When I heard that my friend Drew was looking for a job, I immediately met with him. He was a bartender, but I could tell by how he did his work that he paid so much attention to detail that this was the type of person I wanted to hire.

When he came to me, he had little experience in coding, and had minimal graphic design knowledge. Still, I mentored him and connected him with other coders who could help him quickly.

Now, three years later, he is a skilled .NET programmer and a Flash Web designer, as well as one of our most billable employees.

Hire the most ambitious and loyal people, who are eager to learn. You will always be rewarded.

Talk about cheap hires, I just posted about how you can work with people in India for $4 an hour. You can find MBA's there for $15 an hour!
