Night Owls

Here I am, up late again. Well, to some people it's late, but not so much to me. I was born a night owl and a night owl I seem to remain. I've fought it at times, tried to train myself out of it, put myself down over it, felt abnormal compared to so-called normal morning people, yet here I am. I absolutely love the night, the quiet, the crickets, the dark and the moon when it's visible! I love mornings too whenever I see one but that doesn't happen too often. But the night -- ahhh! I even walk down the lane or sit out in the backyard some nights, and sleep on the back porch when the mood strikes and the weather is cool. Stars and meteors are works of art. Some of my morning-type friends have asked me, "just what do you DO when you're up at midnight?!?" Uh, same thing you're doing in the morning or in the earlier hours of the evening. Actually, if I didn't have to sleep at all, I wouldn't cause I just love the whole day, never want it to end. I must be happy.
