As a personal stylist, i get the opportunity to go into many types of homes. Super Wealthy, Super not, Super Clean and well.. Super not. Ironically they all have something in common. A belief system that something is terribly wrong. Getting dressed can be daunting. How to know when you are doing it right? First off being grateful for being able to feed and clothe yourself is the first step to feeling good about you. Secondly a few tips from my very first book Closet Control Chapter one. How to purge! First of all, practice letting go often at least four times a year. Why? Letting go is incredibly cleansing and will invite new energy.
Have space, like a vacuum it will fill it self. Why are you holding on? Be grateful that you have the veto power to let go on your very own. You are the keeper of your wardrobe and if you don't like it anymore, that is so ok! Does it have resale value on ebay or a consignment store. Believe it or not, other people are grateful for your cast-offs. If it isn't fit for you to sell than
donate it which seems obvious, but you would be surprised how many people actually throw
their old clothes away in the garbage, which is very unfortunate. Just know that being grateful for what no longer serves you will serve someone else and what greater gift to sell, donate your old besty for a new one

I just moved into a new apartment, and moving is the perfect time to take inventory of all the crap one owns! The result? Sure I'll have to spring for some new cabinets to replace the broken-down CD/DVD shelves I purged, but I also was able to put together quite the big bag of clothing that I simply wasn't going to wear anymore to donate.
