I was into comics since I can remember. I love the magic of being plunged into a different univers. I have been working in the high-tech industry for years, primarily in sales and marketing. I want to continue this activity but in a field I am passionate about.

I believe that the comic book industry is a small one (at least in my field of expertise) and I have no connection in it whatsoever. Any tips or advise are most welcome.

You are starting in the right place - with something you love! And there is a great confluence between the industry you are in (high tech, sales and marketing) and comics.

The comic world may seem small - but in fact it is quite vast...from the traditional comic book world, to the explosion into the gaming, internet, and media industries. It is a multi-billion dollar industry.

A great place to start is with the comics you love - Do you know much about the person who writes, illustrates your favorites? How about the publisher? Read up on the industry in trade publications, find out about the latest trends, the movers and shakers, the latest hits and flops.

As you learn about the industry you will find where your interest is---follow what feeds your curiosity!
