I'm writing a book called "STOP! I WANT TO GET OFF: The Guide to Reinventing Your Life." The purpose is to remind all of us to dig deep and find out who we really are and what we want to be doing with our life - every day, every minute. I have lived my life this way and when I find it slipping, I go back into "reinvention mode" -- the greatest self therapy one can do.
I often hear people talk about how unhappy they are in their jobs and careers - we all have the ability to control our destiny - some just don't know what they want.
It's time to find out... and I want to help people acheive their dreams...and their realities!
Enjoy!
If you have a reinvention story - share it with me and others. Help inspire people to take action.
Alas.. someone has said it. This is all too true!
I admire your courage to challenge people to work with purpose.
I had one of these moments about nine months ago.
I jumped out of a seven year career. I had no idea where I was going to go or what I was going to do, I just knew I needed OUT. I took a partime job that has taught me a ton AND has afforded me the flexibility to really take the time to sort out what I really wanted to be doing. I'm still "investigating" at the moment, but boy has it been an interesting ride.
I'm good a jumping ship when I'm over something, but I have a hard time committing to something else for fear that it "may not work out".. any advice on how to see clearly when fear is clouding the way?

I am always grateful when a little bit of fear creeps into my daily routine. It keeps me on my toes and reminds me that I am human. The best part about bad moments is that they pass and then we can use them to learn from and motivate us! I have done some very constructive and rewarding things as a result of a little cloudiness.
You are right, most people become overwhelmed by the idea that they don't know what they want to do - it is however a great opportunity to explore the landscape and look at the opportunity to create a life you love!
Great reminder!
