The Story Behind the Story:
Back in 1997 I said Deepak Chopra was my favorite author (when I was competing for the title of Miss USA) and that my favorite book was "7 Spiritual Laws of Success." Fast forward ten years to 2007 and I meet Dr. Chopra... and his book is now made into a movie which his daughter Mallika produced and she is a guest on my show! She says in her charming way, "My father would call that synchro-destiny!"

I think that's Spiritual Law number 4 or something, it's my favorite. It reminds me that "least effort is expended when your actions are motivated by love." To put this principle into effect and to do more while seemingly doing less, it's important to:

1. "accept people, situations, circumstances, and events as they occur."
2. take responsibility for every situation or "choose a creative response to the situation as it is now...because all problems contain the seeds of opportunity...."
3. establish your awareness in defenselessness..."relinquish the need to convince or persuade others of your point of view.."

This year, I commit to follow the path of no resistance; "the path through which nature's intelligence unfolds spontaneously, without friction or effort."

This year, I am motivated only by love!!!
