I spent today with a girlfriend. That in itself is unusual. Now add in that our mission was to create a collage about our optimal relationship with a man. We had tons of magazines and poster board and glue. We fixed lunch and sat outside before we began. Drew some Tarot cards. And had lots of fun sharing our thoughts and feelings about the photos we were coming up with, past relationships, and our favorite fantasy men. Then we went to dinner and she left to pick up her boyfriend at the airport. It was a total fun day!!

What occured to me in all this process is that I sent the message to the Universe that this is how I want to live my life. Having time for fun and friends and creativity, playing with a bit of magic, and just being girly and light. It was a wonderful confirmation of the joy in living 'as if' this was a typical occurence in my life, how I want it to be (and not how I usually allow it to be.) It also let me see how more and more I am believing in receiving for no reason vs. trying to make things happen, or measuring whether or not I've worked hard enough to be deserving of the life that I want to experience.

I think having fun while manifesting your goals is the best way to have them rapidly appear. From personal experience, whenever I let go of any attachments to the result, the universe is free to deliver.

I've found that with writing projects especially, a vision-board helps immensely. It helps with creating the imagery, which spurs the words. It helps me to realize or SEE something that I might have overlooked. Also, it helps to revitalize my inspiration if it should happen to wane because they're such fun to make!

Keeping your vision-board where you can look at it every day is the best way to keep your eyes and your subconscious mind focused on the goal, or on the bigger picture.

Thanks!

Hi Amanda,

Yes I love vision boards...and I also know that it is something that we all do inherently as children and adolescents. We use our imagination all the time, dream of wonderful things and experiences and role models. Fun and powerful. What a concept.
