The above is a quote that has governed my life ever since my days at college. I had changed my major several times and I was unsure of the direction of my life. I had doubts over who I was, what my strengths were, and of who I should become. I thought to continue on to business school, but my heart was never in it. Then 9-11 occurred during the first day of my last year at N.Y.U. and then I wondered what it really meant to have "security."
The tragedy of 9/11 taught me that it's infinitely more important to love what you do in life. While watching those indestructible towers fall, I realized that nothing in life is truly "secure." I determined that my best bet would be to take risks in pursuit of a heartfelt goal and to stop at nothing (not even self-doubt) until I got there! In the meantime, I'd make the most of the journey and some money whenever I could.
