Recommend this? YES NO

I am often asked whether it's really possible to pursue your passion and still put food on the table. The answer is a resounding "yes!" And my husband and I are living proof.

Our Story

We got married in 2000, five months after I started our business. I left a career as a corporate attorney in 2001 to be at home with our daughter and work the business full-time. My husband was laid off his job as a video cameraman in 2004, resulting in a 60% reduction in our household income in one day. How did we recover? Instead of pounding the pavement for another job, we assessed our talents and skills and realized that we had enough of both to pay ourselves. So we got up the next morning, enjoyed breakfast and a few cups of coffee together and started working a business of our own. Today, we own and manage a profitable, debt free, non-MLM business from our home, and we are happier and better off today than when we had traditional jobs.

The Real Deal

If your audience wants no holds barred, petal to the metal, road tested how-to advice on how to start, own and manage a successful Indie Business, we can help you deliver!

Why do people want this information? It's simple: because they want to bring home the bacon while at the same time enjoying the flexibility needed to effectively manage a home -- especially if they are parents. They want to create wealth on their own terms, without having to rely solely on a traditional job to meet their needs.

The Indie Business Lifestyle

Following our specific advice and example, we tell others how to enjoy the Indie Business Lifestyle:

o Except for a mortgage on our home, we are completely debt free
o The business allows us to put aside money each month for our kids' college, as well as for short and long term savings
o We spend very little on gas because we work from home
o We deduct a significant amount on our taxes due to the use of 3 in-home offices
o We are self insured
o We are available to our children and each other 24/7

If We Can Do It, Anyone Can!

We're no different from your audience. We are hard working family people who want to enjoy life, make a good living and leave the world a better place than it was when we arrived. We want to empower our children to maximize their potential in a world where "job for life" is a thing of the past. The difference is, we've done it! And we can show your audience how they can do it too.

How may we help you energize, motivate, inspire and call your audience to action?

Because the layoff was a blessing masquerading as a disaster. The income we lost has been replaced several-fold and the best part is we are at home with our kids working a business we own. We own the business, the brand and all of the assets so it's not multi-level marketing where we work as an independent contractor or consultant for someone else. While there's nothing at all wrong with that, we belive that every family should own a business asset, even if they also work a traditional jot or serve as a MLM consultant. In addition to traditional investments like mutual funds and real estate, Indie Business ownership is a fantastic way to build wealth and train your children and other family members to be independent and self-sufficient in the rapidly changing economomy in which we live.
