Stress is the body's response to pressure, tension, and change. Slight stress sharpens your senses and your performance but like anything, too much stress is harmful. To mange stress and ward off bad dreams, learn to avoid the triggers and know the signs:

Difficulty sleeping/changes in sleep habits, chronic irritability/anxiety, changes in eating habits, increased used of alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs, frequent illness (headaches & stomachaches count) cold hands, rapid breathing and heartbeat, sweaty palms, aches and pains, muscle tension, clenched jaws and fists, punching walls, screaming, pulling out your hair...the list is endless!

To me, a person's best feature is a good attitude. One that makes makes me want to hang around, see more, and be more like them. Managing stress means recognizing the signs and preempting those triggers before they unload all over you.

Benefits include increased health and stamina, people actually like you without you paying them for their time and flattery, and you will look a hell of a lot better than you did last week!

Amen, sister. This is SO important, and so underrated. I'm reading a great book called "Authentic Happiness" that talks about how much happiness is tied to our physical health and our effectiveness at work. People think it's a luxury, but it's a necessity!
