Shopping in January whiel we are just in our winter season is the best time of year. The holidays are over and your favorite stores have to stay ahead of you. How do they do that? by brining Spring while we are still in Fall. What does that mean for you. A fantastic time to see what trend you have warmed up to in these cold winter months. Fashion is like a piece of art or a sheet of music. If allowed time to simmer, what you may have disliked with fervor, you are now allowing into your comfort zone. It took me three months to figure out these baby doll dresses on my over 40 body. While, I could wear them as i like to think of myself as a short tall person at 5'3 1/2. How was I to wear them with the sophistication that i feel inside. I am a stylist and do this for a living, so I can only imagine how it make you feel, if you don't have to live, eat and breathe trends. That is why Jan. is the best time to take a risk. How many of you have bought an item because it was on sale? You know who you are and as long as you don't go crazy on the multiples outisde of your bedroom:) then taking a risk on a sale item can prove to push you into a new direction. January clearance is making way for Spring, which means that the stores are doing inventory on the merchandise they still own. They don't want to count it, they would rather get rid of it, which is where you come in.
, Shopping when the store is about to change for Spring is not only the best time to pick up fall trends that you were afraid of, it is a fantastic time to see what is coming in straight from the runways If you don't have time to check out the runways on Style.com or Vogue.co.uk who i cover for and if you can't get to your magazine subscriptions, let the stores do the work for you. If you think that I know more than you, I just look at what the stores bring in early while we are still in the current season. This is your barometer and guess what you may not be ready for the new ttends but hey, that's is what shopping in July is for, when we are in summer....and the cycle repeats itself.
