The biggest problem with starting a new venture is just getting started. I'm all for a good business plan that includes valuable market research, but don't over analyze. There will always be unknows that can blind side you regardless of your analysis. As in the Nike commercial "Just Do It" is the best advice I can give you. I have started seven different companies before I retired. Some lost money, some made money and several made me wealthy. You have to be able to keep trying, adjusting your sights and even face the possiblity that you have picked the wrong business. This is all part of entreneurship.

Fear can be your biggest obstacle. You must accept it and still keep moving forward. I would recommend reading Napolean Hill's "Think & Grow Rich." It will help you work on your mental attitude to deal with setbacks and re-program your thinking to believe in yourself and your success. My first business was promoting and organizing weekend ski trips to Mammoth Mountain. Unortunately that year was the worst drought and worse ski season in the resorts histor. I was out of business within months. I never gave up my dream though. Several years later I started a group tour & travel business out of my apartment & built it into a mulitmillion dollar corporation before selling it.
