I am sick of my same olddame old...I get depressed when I open my closet.
Sure I have LOT's of clothes...but I don't wear a lot of what I have. Somehow I guess it feels like I am rich or something...having a lot.
It is a false sense of wealth/securtiy. Less is truly more and I really want to pear down...I also want to be a smarter shopper and wait for sales..or go to nice thrift shops and get some realy gems at bargain prices...oh yeah..and NO MORE charging clothes on credit!!!
If anyone knows of great bargain stores or sales...let me know!
Hi Laura:
What a timely post for me to comment on with the new year, new you quickly approaching. The BEST time of the year to let go as you know with your own clients is when then new year kicks in with all those resolutions. i know i don't have to tell you the how's and why's of letting go, but what I can share with you is Jan. is by far the BEST time of the year to shop. You see, January is inventory throughout all your favorite stores and boutiques and if you ever worked in retail. The less you have on stock, the less you have to count. Which means, you as the shopper are going to get fantastic deals. January is also the time, believe it or not while we are just beginning in LA to freeze with this December wind, the stores you like to shop in are going to be receiving Spring. If you want to get some more tips, I talk about how to take a realistic look at your wardrobe in my new book titled Closet Control. In chapter one, I tell you the ins and outs of purging along with how to have your own front row seat at the runway shows and when to pick up a fashion magazine as well as when to sell your clothing. I am sure you are more organized than I am as a coach, my motivation has always been to make way for the new clothing I wanted to see in my wardrobe. I hope you are getting ready to go check out all the January sales as NOW is the best time to pick up winter for a deal deal deal.
