I very rarely wear make-up (usually only if I go out in the evening- a rare occurrence - or a special event). I recently went through my two make-up bags and realized that some of its contents were going on 8 years old and couldn't remember the last time I used them.
Shopping mall beauty departments cause me to lose track of time (not in the good way) and induce a throbbing headache in quick order. I read magazine articles, but those are basically paid advertisements and, therefore, not helpful.
Additionally, my skin has changed since the last time I made a major make-up purchase and I have no idea what products will suit me best. Fortunately, my new roommate is a professional make-up artist and has agreed to take me shopping.
I will have a well-tailored treasure trove of products that will be practical and pretty.

In my girly moments, there are two things that make me feel like I'm being spoiled. The first is when I'm filling up a new purse or wallet, and the other is coming home with a bag full of new cosmetics or skin care items to play with. I love a really natural look, but as I get older, I'm finding that "natural" can actually take more time than I thought. That said, Bare Escentuals can help you out of that department store dilemma. While the Bare Escentual products are offered at places like Sephora and online, if you have a mall with a Bare Escentuals store, go. Let them do a make-up application -- you won't be sorry. Not only does the product employ minerals in their make-up products, but it truly is effortless and effective -- if you know how to use it.
I cannot imagine putting anything else on my face -- or my daughter's when the time comes. But first and foremost, the individualized attention I get at a Bare Escentuals store is unsurpassed. They explain everything I want information about, they let me try before I buy and don't hesitate to let me take something off and try again if I didn't like the first try. No pressure to buy and the consultation is free.
Give it a whirl, and good luck!
