1:50 a.m. and I am blogging on peoplejam on a Saturday night. Boy, does that say a lot about me or what?
Actually, I just got back from Santa Monica after celebrating a night of Mojitos, good food, and my ultimate favorite: Salsa Dancing.
But, the truth is, I haven't been having any fun lately and the worst part of it...I had no idea!
Being an entrepreneur feels very fun for me: I create my own hours, work from home, and pretty much do as I please. I have the opportunity to meet new people on a regular basis, have awesome lunches with other creative folks, and coach incredible people. This is all a joy but let's face it, am I just talking myself into the fact that I am having a great time?
How many of you are having true fun in your lives? What is your definition of fun? Do you even know? Have you checked in with yourself on this subject lately? How do you give yourself permission to have fun? Ho often are you having it or not having it?
For me, my ultimate fun thing to do is Salsa dance and you know what? I hadn't been in probably 15 months until this evening. So, while I am thinking I am having a fantastic time mingling with other entrepreneurs, I am not giving back to myself in the area of true personal enjoyment.
So, if you like me, just realized you are not having any fun, shoot me an email and let me know what some of the things are that you would like to start doing again. I will hold you accountable! After all, what is a coach for?
The bottom line: Take yourself out once in awhile. It's okay! And, be sure to honor that which you truly find personal pleasure and do it at minimum once monthly.
See you on the dance floor : )
To your extreme dream!

Personally, I love the fact that you are blogging on PeopleJam late at night. It's terrific to see you write in such an honest way about what you're experiencing. Thanks, Laurie, for another good tale.
