What a topic – how to enjoy life! This certainly must be one of the most subjective ideas that I have ever written about! So let’s examine this – how does one enjoy life? I looked on dictionary.com in order to define enjoy and this is what they had to say:
1. to experience with joy; take pleasure in: He enjoys Chinese food.
2. to have and use with satisfaction; have the benefit of: He enjoys an excellent income from his trust funds.
3. to find or experience pleasure for (oneself): She seems to enjoy herself at everything she does.
4. to undergo (an improvement): Automobile manufacturers have enjoyed a six-percent rise in sales over the past month.
5. to have intercourse with

Seriously, click on the link to the site if you don’t believe me – they really have number five that way. If we listen to dictionary.com then enjoying life has to do with Chinese food, trust funds, and intercourse. That doesn’t sound so bad.
Honestly though, my recipe for enjoying life is doing whatever makes me happy. I don’t worry about what others think about my tastes and I just go with it. Sports make me very happy, I enjoy them, and I believe participating and watching contributes to my life’s enjoyment. Fortunately, I am married to someone that feels the same way. Happiness is something different for everyone.

Music is definitely a key factor for an enjoyable life as far as I'm concerned.
Music, definitely. Creature comforts (comfortable bed, good food, books, film, one or two good friends).
The most important key to enjoying life is to stop worrying about what other people are or aren't doing and focus on yourself- what makes you feel good about yourself and life and do more of it.
It's been my experience that the people who are the most unhappy with themselves are the ones who are the most concerned about the goings on in other's lives. They are the folks who monitor your every move at the office because they're worried people are "getting away with something." They are neighbors who are hyper-vigilant of your activities and latest purchases. In fact, the people who are most concerned about these things are often the biggest culprits. If they were happy and fulfilled, would they really care?
Great points Tara - I've noticed that as well. I agree with both of you about music as well. A good soundtrack makes all the difference!
