HILLARY CLINTON RE-THINKING HER BRAND after
9, 2008
Hillary Clinton finally got the memo. In her victory speech after narrowly winning
the Democratic primary in
week, I listened to you and in the process, I found my own voice.”
Calculated or not, she’s finally getting up close and
personal. Emphasis on the personal. Shedding her usual military-stiff platform
demeanor, Hillary actually grinned as she singled out supporters in the
audience. Then, after thanking the two
most important people in her life – Bill and Chelsea – Hillary gave a heartfelt
shout-out to her mom. Way to appeal to
women.
John McCain, who easily won the Republican race, riffed
on the possibility of being the oldest
proclaiming himself the “come-back kid.”
Meanwhile, Illinois Senator Barack Obama, who’s won a youthful
constituency with his message of hope and change, may be feeling a little less
hopeful after his defeat by Senator Clinton.
Hillary’s not only found her voice, but it looks like
she’s opened her heart. Amazing what a
change in personal brand strategy can do for you!

Hi Libby,
I wasn't sure if PeopleJam would be open to political discourse and still am not sure. Hence, I'll keep my thoughts and feeligns about Hillary Clinton to myself--at least for now! I will say that I'm excited about the possibilities for engaging races within both parties and hope (alas, the "audacity" of it!) for both transparency and authenticity in the electoral process. I would also like to say that I'm not especially excited about anything that smacks of another "Selling of the President" campaign! Meaningfully, Alex
