Hiking is a great escape from the confines of the daily desk.
I've heard great things about Yosemite and Half Dome. Have a great trek!
Another great place is Zion National Park, UT. There are two amazing hikes there called Angels Landing and Virginia River (or close to these names). Angels Landing you are basically hanging off the side of a mountain to get to the top. And Virginia River gets waist deep in some parts, this is definitely a far cry from hanging on a phone call or waist deep in office crap!
