Booked a flight and left everything else up in the air. I followed my gut when I got there and followed my instincts on where, when and how to travel once I got there. Need help, but don't speak the language? Look for a businessman in a suit. They usually speak English.
Sometimes prebooked flights etc (in country) are lost - this is still a developing nation on many accounts. So just wait till you get there.

Wow, you are amazing. I don't know that I could ever be that carefree. Were you ever nervous? Did you go alone? What made you decide to go to India.
Jillian is another coach on our site, she has been wanting to go to India and trying to gather funds to do so, I'm sure she could benefit from your insight. She is featured in the Love channel, under dating.
Well, considering I was suppose to go with several other folks who bailed on me it was really a bit of a challenge.
The night I landed it was in the middle of the darkest hours. I grabbed a cab after finding a hotel to go to at the airport. That first night I laid in this noisy room with coachroaches thinking what have I done? I cried a little bit, but the next morning I got on a plane to Nepal where I met up with a friend of a friend to help orient me.
It was awesome from there.
How do I forward this to Jilian as well?
