I think breakfast really sets the tone for the rest of the day. When I start off with my standard glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice from Tustin oranges (you can take the girl out of Tustin, but you can't take the Tustin out the girl!), oatmeal & a side of raspberries & blueberries, I feel healthy and energetic. When I don't eat breakfast because I'm racing to get to work, I get a headache and end up eating some rubbish from Trimana even though I swore never to eat there again. So my tip is this: set your alarm in the morning allowing for 10 mins to make & eat breakfast, and you're preparing yourself for the best day possible.
We've all read the statistics on how b-fast is the most important meal, and about all the benefits we get from it (helps us concentrate at work, staves off hunger, etc.) Some great ideas are a banana shake (frozen bananas & rice milk), a berry shake (frozen strawberries, blueberries, rice milk and yogurt), oatmeal, an apple with peanut butter, or a breakfast burrito (tortilla, scrambled eggs, black beans, avocado).

I actually read an article at the gym that said it's better for your metabolism to eat a Twinkie for breakfast than nothing at all. As for your recipes, I would recommend almond milk over rice milk. It's less acidic.
I love breakfast.. love love love breakfast. I could seriously talk about cereal for hours.. no joke!
Anyhow, I've heard people claim that they 'aren't hungry in the morning' How do these people not hear the call of cheerios in the morning?!?
Then one week, I was really busy, the fridge was bear and I did not eat breakfast. A few hours into the morning, mysteriously, I was not hungry anymore. I had pulled off the breakfast fake-out. I actually wasn't even that hungry for lunch. BUT THEN come 3:00pm, I was STARVING and I basically could not stop eating all night. After a few days of eating like that I felt sick, gross, and out of control.
I quickly learned that I could skip breakfast, but I never again want to!
Sometimes our minds are so busy that we can dismiss what our bodies really need.
