A close friend of mine, Jeff Pasternak, who is a songwriter, artist, and son of legendary Hollywood film producer Joe Pasternak, just released his new music CD, Double Cover. I'm both honored and humbled to say that Track #3 on this CD is a song ("Brave Heart") that was inspired by my book, Prisoners of Our Thoughts! The story behind this song reveals Jeff's inner struggle with "doubt" and demonstrates how he was able to overcome being a "prisoner of his own thoughts." Both the lyrics and melody of "Brave Heart" are contagious; I promise that they will help you exame doubt, i.e., self-doubt, in a new way and with a renewed optimism. Learn the "story" behind (and listen to) Brave Heart at the following link: http://www.globaldialoguecenter.com/braveheart
I would love to receive your feedback to and comments about the song, Brave Heart, and the story behind it. Indeed, I know that Jeff would love to know too! Let's hear it for all of the "Brave Hearts" out there!
This is an inspirational story about discovering the seeds of meaning in every moment of our lives, especially during times when we seem unable to escape our own "inner concentration camp" (or mental prison).

You were right about the song, it's great. Brave Heart is a catchy tune. It's got a reggae feel about it.

Thanks, Amanda! You are a Brave Heart! Besides having a catchy beat, as you now know, the message in the song is a very powerful and meaningful one. So much of what we do or don't do in our lives is influenced by "fear."

I encourage everyone in the PeopleJam community to reflect for a moment on the following comment made by the character, Bob Diamond (played by Rip Torn) in the 1991 movie, "Defending Your Life": "Fear is like a giant fog. It sits on your brain and blocks everything. Real feeling, true happiness, real joy, they can't get through that fog. But you lift it and buddy you're in for the ride of your life." Let me also point out that "courage" is NOT the absence of fear but the willingness to go through fear. This is why my friend, Jeff Pasternak, now likes to wish everyone a "Brave Heart Day!"

Thanks again, Amanda!
