Did you know that's the original idea that the lotus flower represents? It has many meanings and interpretations, but I just found out that the lotus inspires the idea that as spiritual beings wearing human suits we are in this world, but not of it. . . no, we're a part of something much larger.
I bring up this little tidbit only because I know that for me, the most predominant moments of doubt come when I am trying to exist as if I am formed of this world and I have to figure out how to manuever in it. This of course brings up the dichotomies of right and wrong, good and bad, worthy and unworthy. When I am trying to exist in a state where I have to "get it right," or experience guilt, self-doubt or any number of other negative self-inflictions, I tend to also experience my greatest moments of doubt.
This is because when I play as if I am of this world, I co-exist with fear.
When I play as if I am simply in this world, then my every moment feels like a party--this is because I remember that I am comprised of love and only love. Love and fear cannot exist in the same space, so I am more comfortable creating, taking chances, smiling, and being vulnerable.
I have chosen to be here, in this time and this space. I want to enjoy it. I want to relish it. I want to live everyday as if the sky is the limit. I can only do that when I remember that I am only IN this world.
