It's hard enough to leave behind a full weekend of reading your favorite foods, exploring tasty restaurants with friends and spending quality time with your loved ones to get back to the what feels like the daily grind at work sometimes. It makes it that much harder when you've been staying up till 3 in the morning the past 2 nights, and then to force your body to catch up immediately Monday morning. I want to give my body the respect it deserves by easing into the new week, and maybe it will make it more pleasant for me to have to get up to go to work!

I totally agree. Sometimes I actually wake up at 6am on weekends. I find that you have a much longer weekend that way!

I found that Mondays are a lot easier on me when I keep my diet cleaner on the weekends -- the less starchy foods and junk I eat on the weekends, the more energy and less "hung over" I feel on Monday.
