Stress: we’ve all got it. But there are some simple ways to reduce the everyday stress in your life. Getting rid of clutter, both physical and emotional goes a long way toward eliminating unnecessary stress.
Get Organized
Get help such as David Allen’s, Getting Things Done, to create systems that keep you on track and organized so that the little commitments in your life don’t turn into fires you need to put out.
Become an Early Riser
Especially if you have children at home, getting up a few minutes early can bring peace to your mornings. Imagine what you could do with 45 minutes extra in the morning. Even 15 minutes can make the difference between calm morning and mad dash.
Pay Off Debt
One biggest sources of stress is in the area of money. When your finances are in order, you can relax a little. For many people it’s not a matter of making more, but of managing what you’ve got more responsibly.
Exercise
We all know that regular exercise is the best way to beat stress. Don’t pretend you didn’t know that. So figure out a way to make yourself do it. If you’re in better shape you’ll be better able to take advantage of the last tip:
Have More Sex
Sex is relaxing. This one is fun AND relaxing! If you’re lacking in this area, you may need to use specific techniques for getting it on the calendar. There’s no shame in planning for intimacy. If you’re not in a relationship, maybe it’s because you’re too stressed – try some of the other tips for a while and then come back to this one!
