Radio Host: I've heard it said that a man thinks about sex as often as a woman thinks about her children or how she looks. What do you think about that Dr. Mark?

Dr. Mark: I didn't think women thought about their kids or how they look that often.

What do YOU think?

Honestly, I don't think that's true. I heard the men think about sex every 7 seconds or so, but as a woman, I don't think about how I look that often. Maybe it's because I don't have kids yet, but I do agree with Dr. Mark. Hmmm... what do women think about constantly???

My wife thinks about our kids all the time - at least that's what she tells me. But only a woman can really answer this question.

I think that's not true! Well, it probably depends on whether or not you have children. Although, before I had my son, I spent a good majority of my time worrying about when I would have children, and who with. Now that I am a mom, I spend a lot of my time thinking about my son, he's my entire life. Am I a good mom? Am I doing things the "right" way? I worry about these constantly. Although, I do think women think about sex more than we let on. I sure do!

I love how your blogs make people think. I'm very fond of them. I believe that this isn't true. As a woman, I think about sex pretty often. Maybe that has something to do with the fact that I'm a tomboy, but I would like to believe that most women enjoy sex as much as men. So I'm going out on a leap of faith and saying that I don't think this is true.

I have to say that both comments are sexist. Men and women both think about their kids, how they look, and sex. I would say that they think about all three things just as often regardless of gender. Pegging a woman/man into any role based on stereotypes just does not fit.
