This morning I was listening to Dan Patrick's sports radio show, and I heard the story of 18 year old John Challis. Dying of cancer John had not been able to play baseball for a couple of years. His wish, one last at bat in a real game. The story that follows is not only wonderful, but shows what a person with the right attitude can accomplish. John's attitude and composure in dealing with his illness should be a lesson to us all. I beg you to listen to the interview as it will inspire you as it did me!

Here is the link. It links to the last hour of Dan's show. Move the slider bar to about half way and you will hear this great interview.

Hey that was truly inspirational! I've lost a relative to cancer, and it kind of reminded me of him.

I was also able to watch this show when it was broadcasted. It truly was an inspirational story, that showed courage and motivation. I think in the show he got up to plate for his last at bat and he got a hit into right field through the first and second baseman. With what this kid was over to overcome its impossible to not recommend this article.
