Athletes as well as others who keep winning keep changing. When ahead they are always looking to add new dimensions to their game- not to maintain their lead but to increase it. Tiger Woods after winning his first Masters took 8 months off and changed his swing, and he was already the best. His comment which is applicable to anyone in any type of game was that the competition is getting bigger stronger and tougher, the technology ( clubs balls etc) constantly changing the course is getting harder if he didn't keep getting better he'd wouldn't stay on top. Roger Federer, arguably the best tennis player ever, did the same thing after winning Wimbledon two years ago. Same with many other athletes.
Same is true in business. Toyota already the most profitable car company changed their whole assembly line. Why? Because we're winning. That's the time to change to try new things because you have everything going for you; people are motivated, confident, you have momentum and money. That's the time to change. Most people don't change till they have to and that's too late. Same is true for you and me.When doing well don't sit back and rest on laurels, use your laurels as a springboard to catapult you to levels you never thought existed.
